1927, October 5th - Death Certificate
- Julia’s death certificate is very confusing, but once her history can be compared to that of her first husband’s cousin’s wife, Julia A. Salts-Tesnear, the mistakes are easily recognized. Julia Dickenson was first married to Alexander Salts, son of Allen Salts. Her own parents have never been found. However, on her death certificate, Julia’s mother’s first name was Rebecca. Also on her death certificate, it has her listed as a daughter of Allen Salts. This is incorrect. Her first husband’s name was Alexander Salts. Allen was his father.

Our Salts research group has worked very hard on the two Julia Salts women. They were born around the same time, in the same valley, etc. Upon conclusion, it is thought that the man who recorded Julia Dickenson Salts Reed’s death, got the two women mixed up, and in doing so, Julia Reed’s birth certificate records the name of her father-in-law, and the name of the adopted mother to the other Julia Salts Tesnear, Rebecca Tesnear.

A note from the author - If the two Julia’s are not carefully evaluated from all of the documents associated with both, then the two Julia’s easily become mixed up. And if they get mixed up, this will show brother and sister married with a child. Julia Dickson first married Alexander Salts [son of Allen Salts], who was born in 1843. And that Alexander Salts’ sister, Julia Salts-Tesnear, registered to marry their cousin, Alexander Salts b 1868 [son of Thomas E. Salts].
