1870 - George is not on the 1870 census. It is not known if George died during the Civil War and before the 1870 census. However, I could not find a George Salts who participated in the Civil War.

1900 - The Paxson Funeral Home, Springfield, Missouri, 1900-1926 records, page 176, lists a George Salts who died 7 September 1900. The record gives no age or place of burial. I honestly don’t know who this George Salts is. But he wasn’t the son of Allen. The first son named George died, and as some family did back in those day, they named another son George later on.
