Obituary - Marian Cassing, 1913-2006, Concordia

Marian Cassing, 92, of Concordia, died Thursday, July 13, 2006, in Lexington.

She was born Nov. 19, 1913, in Valley City, a daughter of Harlow and Alma Sprague Saults. On Aug. 15, 1935, she was married to Elmer Cassing, who died earlier.

Mrs. Cassing was a member of Concordia Baptist Church. She lived in Concordia most of her life. She was a retired school teacher. She graduated from Central Missouri State University.

Surviving are four nephews, Clarence Cassing, of Raytown, Ellsworth Cassing, of Overland Park, Kan., Don Martin, of Joliet, Ill., and Steve Saults, of Dover.

She was also predeceased by two brothers, Lee Saults and Glenn Saults; and a sister, Fay Ford.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Concordia Baptist Church, with the Rev. James R. West officiating. Burial will be in Baptist Cemetery in Concordia. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the church, in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia.
