Notes for John Elliott “Jack” SAULTS
Jack served in the Army Air Corps in WWII and Air force in the Korean War.385 He retired in 1971 from the postal service after working 27 years as a rural mail carrier. He was a member of the Knob Noster Presbyterian Church.

He was a charter member and served as the first Commander of the Gregory-Zink American legion Post No. 523 of Knob Noster and had held a continuous membership in the Post for the past 30 years.385

His burial was held on a Friday.385
Notes for Dorothy (Spouse 1)
She was a graduate of the Knob Noster High School and the Central Business College in Kansas City. For some time she was secretary to S. Maxwell, county superintendent of schools, and then as a deputy circuit clerk and ex-officio recorder. She then worked as a secretary at M. S. Kendrick Insurance Agency for a number of years. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Clubs of Knob Noster and the First Baptist Church of Knob Noster.

The ceremony was performed in the Elliott Hotel apartment of Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Saults, by Rev. D. H. Howenton of Kansas City, pastor of the local Baptist church. Dan and his wife were the only people who attended the wedding.386
