Helen Rosetta Saults Pyetzki

PYETZKI Helen Saults Pyetzki, 88, of Lexington, Mo., passed away, Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 in Lexington. Helen Rosetta Mahnken was born Sept. 12, 1920 in Concordia, Mo., the daughter of Herbert and Nora Klingenberg Mahnken. She married Glenn Saults in 1944, he preceded her in death in 1983. In 1986, she married Harold Pyetski, who also preceded her in death in 1991. Helen was a bookkeeper/receptionist for Missouri Public Service. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lexington, and a member of the church Vesper Guild. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Pyetski was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ruth Mahnken. Surviving is a son, Steven Saults, of Dover, Mo., and two grandchildren, Kimberlie Saults, Liberty and Townsend Saults, Dover. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 6, at Grace Lutheran Church in Lexington. Burial in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at Concordia, Mo. Visitation, 9 a.m. until service time at the church on Monday. Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church in Lexington. “Glenn moved to Concordia in 1925 and graduated from Concordia High School in 1938. He worked for the Concordian Newspaper before enlisting in the US Marine Corps. He reported for induction on Friday, May 8, 1942. Upon his return, he moved to Lexington and worked as publisher of the Lexington Advertiser-News. He was a member of a partnership that had published the daily news after it was purchased in 1966. He handled printing and layout for the paper until he retired in 1977. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Lexington VFW Post 4052, and Lexington Thomas Cullom American Legion Post 160.”374
