On Thomas’ death certificate his mother’s name is given as Miss McCarthy [should have been McCardle]. He was a blacksmith and his father’s name was listed as Isaac Salts, Tennessee. His wife, Amanda Salts was the informant.
1930 census, Johnson City, TN lists Jerome Saults 45, Thelma Saults 27 and Frank 13 - son. Thelma is shown as marrying at age 25 - so they have only been married 2 years. I don't think Thelma is Jerome's mother.
