1914 - The Butte Gazette Dec 11,1914:
Jacob Salts died at his home in Holt County, Sunday morning of diabetis melitois. The funeral was held at the home on Monday. Mr Salts was well known to the people of this locality, having lived on a farm south of Butte in Boyd County for a year or two. He is survived by a widow and several children.

Jake Steward Soulls was born in Tennessee, Oct 21,1878, died at his home, Dec 6,1914, aged 36 years, 1 month and four days.

He was married to Etta Pearl Miller in Tennessee Jan 14,1899. Later they with their family moved to Nebraska where they have remained. To this union seven children were born. All of whom are left to mourn his death.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev W S York at his late home northeast of Phoenix on Monday afternoon and interment was made in the cemetery at Phoenix.

From Lyn Saulls - 2004 - What I was supposed to find was :Jacob Steward Saulls died Dec 6,1914 at Catalpa, Holt County, Nebraka. The death certificate was signed by Butte Doctor, Robi G Hawkins. He was married to Etta Pearl Miller, who moved with the following children to Idaho in 1915.

After the death of her husband, Etta moved herself and the children to Idaho. It is not known why, but she changed the spelling of the family name from Salts to Saulls.
