David Leo “Biscuit” Matthews, 63, of Amarillo, died Friday, October 21, 2011.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 24, 2011 at River Road Baptist Church with Richard Higley, associate pastor, and Sheryl Brown, officiating.  Burial will be in Claude Cemetery in Claude.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
David was born on December 15, 1947 in Amarillo to E.L. “Red” and Frances Matthews.  He graduated from Panhandle High School in 1966 and attended classes at TSTI.  He married Jackie Ward in Claude on January 9, 1969.  David was a leather craftsman, boot maker, trailer builder, truck driver and cowboy. David was loved by many and will be missed greatly.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Matthews, of Amarillo; mother, Frances Matthews of Panhandle; daughters, Brandy Ratliff, Briss Ralston and Brie Gantt, all of Amarillo; a son, Bryan David Matthews of Amarillo; twelve grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
