Notes for Absalom LOONEY
As a youth he lived with his parents on Indian lands in the Tennessee Valley. In 1819 he signed a petition for the removal of white settlers from Indian Lands.

He later moved to Missouri and is listed on the 1830 Jackson Township (presently Monroe Co., MO) census.

On September 14, 1831 he entered for land in Monroe Co., MO, but went South West to Polk Co., MO.

In 1840 he is listed on the Mooney Township, Polk Co., MO. census. He is listed with his wife and four children. He and his wife Mary had about nine children.
