1918, September 15 -- WWI Draft Registration Card. He gave his name as Arthur Leland Sults and his address as 1028 1st Avenue Rock Island, Illinois. He said he was 29 and that his birth date was December 4, 1878. He was white and native born. He worked as a temperest at the R & J Arsenal in Rock Island, ILL. His wife's name was Mrs. Jessie Grace Sults. He had black hair and blue eyes.295

He had two or three sons who lived in Galesburg, IL at the time of his death.40,25 They worked for C.B.O. and lived in Galesburg, IL as well.83,25

Known as "Uncle Art" to the Tripletts of Washington Co., TN, He visited them in Washington Co., TN several times before he married.25 And then again when he was quite old. However, they never met his wife or children.25

On his tombstone his last name is printed as SULTS.

At one time he was a constable in the city of Alexis.296

On his wedding certificate is claims to be white and German.51

He was buried out of McKnight Funeral Home through the Alesix Evangelical United Brethern Church. Mr. Sults died at the Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois. The Rev John Ragsdale, pastor, will be in charge at the church and the Masons will take chare at the grave297,56.
