William moved from VA to Ky with his parents about 1805, and from there to Missouri about 1828, settling first in Jackson county and afterwords moving to Cass County. [Cass County was formed from Jackson County between 1840-1850, therefore he may not have actually moved.} His parents died at his home in Cass County in the Fall of 1838. After the death of his first wife he moved back to Kentucky where he lived in Breathitt County and then Wolfe County until his death. He was a Baptist Minister and he also taught school.
