The Maple Grove Cemetery, now called Fairview Cemetery, is located about five miles NW of Jonesboro on both sides of Highway 81 between Jonesboro and Fall Branch. According to WCCL; (Washington Co., TN Tombstone Inscriptions by Charles M. Bennett and the Watauga Association of Genealogists, Vol. III) it was established in 1800 as a result of the merger between the Methodists and Quakers.

1860 Tennessee Greene County Census, Henderson and his family are listed in district 15, P.O. Rheatown, TN, Roll 1252 pp 345 line 25 Dwelling 188 Family 180 - taken, June 20th 1860. Campbell, Henderson 26 years-old, a mechanic with personal property worth $60; Martha Ann, 24 wife as a domestic; plus 3 children-, Wm. D. 5; Charles L. 3; and Adaline W. 2. They were living in Greene County while Henderson's parents were listed in Washington County, Jonesboro District.
On the
1870 Tennessee Washington County Census, they are listed in District 3 P.O. Freedom Tennessee page 164 Dwelling 107, Family 110 - taken, July 7, 187. Henderson Campbell was 33 years old and a farmer born in Tennessee. He had real estate valued at $200. Martha Ann 33 years old was keeping house. Children in the home were Charles E. 18; Adda V. 11; Emma L. 10; Marshall (a girl) 8; and Robert L. All born in Tennessee.
On the
1880 Tennessee Washington County Census, District 16 National Archives, Vol. 33, ED 35 Sheet 4 10 Dwelling and Family 34 or 84 - taken June 5th 1880, Henderson Campbell, 48, farmer, Martha Ann 44 keeping house, Ada 20 was at home, Arthur 10 farmer, Robert 11 was at home as were Cordia 9, Ida 6, Edgar 4 and maud 2. All of the above and their respective parents were born in Tennessee. Daughter Marshall must have died between 1870 and 1880. She was not listed on the census with her family.
They were married by R. S. Ferguson, Justice of the Peace.
