In the book “Washington County Tennessee Wills 1777-1872” on page 34, Mary Ann Ingersol is mentioned in Jacob Keebler’s will (Mary's grandfather) - dated May 13, 1831. The names and information obtained from the abstract of this will match with the information I have found in her husband’s obituary.

Some of the related names are Samuel Keebler, who was an uncle of Mary’s. He is also listed in Jacob Keebler’s will, but it is not possible to determine his relationship (possibly and uncle who never married).

Others listed in the will are Children: Sarah Kincheloe, John and Jacob Keebler, Elizabeth Bacon, Caroline, Catharine Ingersol, Sons Samuel and John. And, wife Mary of Jacob Keebler, Sr.

Daniel Burgess attended school at Washington College, he entered Emory Henry, where, had he continued only a few months, he would have completed the course and graduated with high honours. In early manhood he joined the Presbyterian Church. He taught school for thirteen years, formerly at Elizabethton and then at Limestone. After this he was engaged in merchandise for several years, then retired to farming..

The were married at the Christian Baptist Church at Bethel by the Rev. Sam Y. Wyley.

When they were first married they lived with Mary’s Uncle Sam Keebler.
