Notes for Abraham BRAUN
He relocated to Rowan County, North Carolina about 1755 with the rest of his family. He acquired farmland in the county and a townhouse lot in Salisbury. He became known as “Abraham Brown the Miller” because he operated a grist mill in Rowan County, North Carolina. His will is dated 20 February 1795.

Abraham Brown was well known as "the Miller." His house, spring, balcksmith shop and grist mill were located behind what is now known as Dan Nicholas Park off Bringle Ferry Road on Persimmon Bruanch. Abraham operated this mill till his death. Probably did not serve in militia due to his age. He served in Patriot Service in North Carolina during the Revolutionary War.
