In 1749 Hans departed Germany with his wife and 4 children for America, destination “The Carolinas”, aboard the English ship “Edinburg” at Rotterdam 1749, landed at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They arrived on 15 September 1749 and settled at Jackson Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
