According to Rose Hayden-Smith's Dutch friends, Beynum is not a common Dutch name, and is almost entirely endemic to the Gelderlands province in the Netherlands. Two Dutch researchers have traced this line from 1700's back to 1300's. Rose has not been able to link up with them to date, but they are sure it is the same line.1140
