Robert R. Saults - JOHNSON CITY

ERWIN — Robert Ray Saults, 88, 1804 Mary St., Johnson City, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Saults was a lifelong Washington County resident and a son of the late Edward Saults and Sarah Adams Saults.

He was a retired welder and a former employee of Johnson City Foundry.

Mr. Saults was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Johnson City.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ora Sprazza, Nellie Painter and Rosie Saults; and two brothers, Dewey Saults and Arnold Saults.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Madeline Edwards Saults; five sons, Bobby Saults, Knoxville, Jack Saults, Grover, N.C., Ron Saults, Jonesborough, and Frank Saults and Rick Saults, both of Johnson City; two daughters, Pat Jones, Erwin, and Wanda Abel, Johnson City; one sister, Blanche Burgner, Chuckey; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Robert Ray Saults, 88, 1804 Mary St., who died Wednesday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend John Wood will officiate. Mr. Saults’ grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Special music will be provided by his granddaughter, Cathy Griffith. Burial will follow graveside services at 10 a.m. Saturday at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and travel in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and at other times at the residence. Online condolences may be sent to the family through www.morrisbaker.com. Madeline E. Saults, 86, 1804 Mary Street, died Friday, December 29, 2006, at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Saults was a lifelong resident of Washington County and a daughter of the late Andrew Franklin Edwards and Alta Mae Clouse Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ray Saults; and three sisters.

Mrs. Saults was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Pat Jones and her husband, Casey L. Jones, Erwin, and Wanda Abel and her husband, Freddie, Johnson City; five sons, Ronald E. Saults and his wife, Joann, Jonesborough, Frankie Saults and his wife, Nancy, Johnson City, Robert Ray Saults Jr. and his wife, Linda, Knoxville, Jack Saults and his wife, Kay, Grover, NC, and Rick Saults, Johnson City; nineteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mrs. Saults will be conducted at 8 PM Sunday, December 31, 2006, from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend John Perkins will officiate.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, January 1, 2007, at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery.

Mrs. Saults? grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. The deacons of Southside Baptist Church will be honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
