Harry Saults - JONESBOROUGH - Herald & Tribune in Washington County, Tennessee
Harry M. Saults, 88, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday November 19, 2005, at Lakebridge Skilled Care Center following a brief illness. A native of Washington County Tennessee, he is the son of the late William H. and Laura Bunch Saults. Mr. Saults owned and operated Harry Saults Plumbing and Electric Contractor in the 1940s and 1950s. In 1958, he moved to San Diego to work for University Mechanical Engineering Contractors as plumbing foreman/supervisor on the entire West Coast on projects such as the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. He and Marie moved back to the old home place in 1979 on the Nolichucky River where they raised Black Angus cattle and a herd of beloved cats. Mr. Saults was a member of Rhea Masonic Lodge, F&AM. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Marie Green Saults, of the home; 1 son, Ted Saults, and 1 daughter, Carolyn Franklin, both of Jonesborough; 1 grandson, David Saults and his wife, Jill, of Johnson City; two granddaughters, Misty Saults Leonard and her husband, Gregory Leonard, of Jonesborough, and Angie Franklin Goethert and her husband, John Goethert, of Knoxville; two Great Grandchildren, Cooper and Cristina Gorthert, both of Knoxville. A Memorial Service in celebration of life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 26, 2005, at Seviers United Methodist Church on Highway 107. Rev. Anthony Grills and William Lee will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1-2 P.M. Saturday prior to the memorial service and at the home following the service. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, Northeast TN-Southwest VA Chapter, 207 N. Boone Street, Suite 1500, Johnson City, Tn 37604. Marie Saults - JONESBOROUGH
Marie Green Saults, age 85, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, January 4, 2008, at the Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness.

Mrs. Saults was born November 3, 1922, in Telford and was the daughter of the late Roy & Ethel Jones Green. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Saults was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Saults, in November 2005.

She and Harry lived in California and Oregon during the 60s and 70s and moved back to the old home place on Highway 107 in 1979.

She attended the little one room school in Telford as a child, Washington College Academy and Lamar High School. She was a 50 year member of Eastern Star Jonesborough Chapter #352.

Mrs. Saults was a homemaker as well as an animal and bird lover. She will be missed by all of her family and friends and especially by Yo-Yo, her favorite old cat.

Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Franklin, Jonesborough; one son, Teddy Saults, of the home; one sister, Mary Sue Garvin, Telford; three grandchildren, Misty Leonard and her husband, Gregory, and David Saults, all of Jonesborough, and Angie Goethert and her husband, John, Knoxville; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Leonard and Cristina and Cooper Goethert.

Mrs. Saults request to be cremated upon death will be honored.

A celebration of her life services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2008, at Seviers United Methodist Church, Highway 107, in Jonesborough with Rev. Rance Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends at Mrs. Saults home following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seviers United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to the charity of choice.
