Notes for Jim ISOM
Jim Isom (brother of Laura Isom Smith), age 45 years, died at his home in north Carrollton late Tuesday afternoon, some three hours after an operation for appendicitis, from which he had been suffering some thirtten days. The deceased was born in Kentucky and came to Dallas county with his parents when he was but a small boy. He was a good, quiet and unassuming man, always attending to his own affairs only. His remains were buried in Perry (Union) cemetery Wednesday afternoon, Rev. G. W. Whisler conducing the funeral services. If Jim Isom had an ememy in the world we never knew them. He was never married, but for the past twelve years has lived with his sisters, Mrs. R. F. Patterson and Miss Georgie Isom. Besides these sisters he leaves the following sisters and one brother: Mesdames C. A. Smith and Wm. James of Carrollton, Mrs. N. B. thomas of Allen, Mrs. Jr. R. Liles of Kentucky and Wm.
