1731, September 21 - Johannes Aegender, age 33, and his wife Margarita arrived in America aboard the ship "Brittania," which had sailed from Rotterdam, Holland to the Port of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  With them came their children Katharina, age 12; Anna Kreta, age 5; Henriks, age 10; Ludwig, age 3; Magdelena, age 2; and Dorothea, age 6.  This family, like many others of Swiss and German origin, settled in what is now Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.  They lived on a 300 acre tract of land near Bethlehem until at least 1750

• 14 June:  Johannes and Margaretha Egender, along with Nicklaus Kern and Margaretha Kern, were sponsors for the baptism of Johann Nicklaus SENDERS born May 18, 1741 (Parents:  Johann and Maria Christina Senders) at the Jordan Lutheran Church in Bucks Co, PA (then it was Northampton Co, PA and is now Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Co, PA.)
• 15 Dec:  Ludwig Zimmerman marries Anna Margaretha Egender at Jordan Lutheran Church, Whitehall T wp, Lehigh Valley.  This is likely Johannes' daughter Anna Kreta.   "Greta" is a nickname for Margaretha and when Johannes and his family docked in America, I imagine the person writing the log mistook the nickname "Greta" and wrote what it sounded like, "Kreta."  The German "G" sounds like a hard "K" sound.

6 Mar:  Eva Margaretha Zimmermann born, baptised 16 May 1742 at Jordan Lutheran in Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Valley.  Parents: Ludwig and Margretha Egender Zimmermann.  Sponsors:  Henrich Egener and Eva Ruchin

• 31 Aug:  Ludwig Egener, along with David Mörsch and Regina Huber, were baptismal sponsors for twins of Nicklaus & Barbara Gauer. (Jordan Lutheran Church, Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Valley)

• April:  Johannes Eigenter was naturalized in Bucks County, PA.  He was listed among those "who conscientiously scruple to take an Oath."
• 9 Oct:  Maria Margretha Egener born; baptised  17 Jan 1748 at Jordan Lutheran Church, Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Valley, Parents: Henrich & Maria Catherine Egener.
• 15 Nov:   Johann Phillipp Wirbel, son of  Phillip Wirbel and wife, was born  in Bucks County, PA.  He was baptized in Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Valley on 17 Jan 1748.  Sponsors were:  Anton Sold, Juliana Margaretha Neuhardt, and Eva Aegener

• 3 Jul:   Henrich Aegener, along with David Gihsy and Julianna Margaretha Diehl, were baptismal sponsors of Johann Henirch Gauer, son of Nicklaus & Barbara Gauer.  (Jordan Lutheran Church, Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Valley.)
• 9 Oct:   Henrich Egener, along with Jacob Schreiber, Magdalena Schreiber, and Johannes Jundt, were baptismal sponsors a son of Jacob and Dorothea Jundt (Jordan Lutheran Church, Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Valley.)
• 11 Oct:  Ludwig Agener marries Christine Mahnin (drop the -in ending, just a German indication of female; surname is Mahn) at Jordan Lutheran Church, Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Valley.

• 26 Mar:  Johann Henrich Agener born in probably Bucks Co, PA; baptised 23 Apr 1749 at Jordan Lutheran Church, Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Valley.  Parents: Henrich and Catherine Agener.  Sponsors:  Reinhardt Böhny and Anna Magaretha.
• 30 Aug:  Maria Margaretha Aegener born in probably Bucks Co, PA; Parents: Luewig & Maria Christina Aegener.  Baptized 10 Sep 1749 at Jordan Lutheran Church, Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Valley.  Sponsors Jacob Mamy and Anna Catharina Aegener.  (who is the Catharina Aegener??!  Is this wife of Henry?  Or is his sister Katherina?  If this is Katherina, then she is definitely not the Catherine Egner who married John Stuckey before 1742.)

7 May 1750
Anton Sold marries Eva Agener at Jordan Lutheran Church, Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Valley.  We have only circumstantial evidence to say that Eva is a daughter of Johannes and Margarita Aegender:  1)  Age  2) Surname 3) Used same church and 4) Anthony Solt/Salt appears in Rowan Co, NC near Henry.   Given that most girls married at 21, that makes her about the same age as reported for Magdalena on the ship's passenger list.  Either Eva and Magdalena are the same person, or Eva was born shortly after the family's arrival in America.

• Johannes Eigender born, probably Bucks Co, PA.  Parents:  Ludwig Aegender and Christina Mahn (John Eagoner is named as a son of Ludwig & Christina in a 1791 deed concerning Ludwig's estate.)

early to mid-1750s
Johannes, son Henry, and daughters Dorothea and Eva move to Rowan Co, NC.  There seem to be no records showing that Johannes bought land but Henry did.  Henry settled on 320 acres in Tract #9 of the McCulloh Land Grant on the east side of the South Fork of Crane Creek.

c1755 
Benedict Eigener born, probably Bucks Co, PA.  Parents: Ludwig Aegender and Christina Mahn. We have only circumstantial evidence to say that Benedict is a daughter of Ludwig and Christina Aegender:  1)  Age  2) Surname 3) Confirmed in same church they used  4) a Benedict EIGENOR (also Elginor and Igonder in military records) was enrolled in the third militia company in the Elizabeth Town District of Frederick County (now Hagerstown, Washington Co, MD).  This is same company as Henry and John were enrolled in.

1757
• 24 Jan:  Johannes Agnder makes his "will" in Rowan Co, NC  Actually it is a power of attorney signed in the presence of his children (unnamed), assigning Conrad Michel to collect his maternal and paternal inheritance in Switzerland.  Here he states "The seventieth year is upon me," thus creating conflict in the birth year when compared to the passenger list.
• 29 Jul:  Henry Jacob Eygener born in probably Bucks Co, PA; bap. Aug. 21, 1757 at Tohickon Reformed Church (Bedminster Twp, Bucks Co, PA).  Parents:  Ludwig Eygener and Christina. Witnesses:  Jacob Scheumer, Barbara Raub

John Eckender's will is recorded.  Rowan Co, NC court records state:  "Upon motion of Mr. Dunn the Last will and Testament of John Eckender proved by the Oath of Conrad Michel and ordered to be recorded - the Exr. having before Sd. Order taken Oath as by Law Directed."

• The Rowan County NC list of taxables made by Constable Michael Brown shows the names of Henry Agender and Philip Warbl (Wervill).

• 30 Oct:  Johann Eigender was baptized at the Lutheran Congregation at Williams Twp., Northampton Co, PA.  Parents are listed at Johan and Margaret Eigender.  Also listed is a Johann Baugratius Eigender, same date, same parents.  It is unknown if this is a double entry giving the full name for this child or if these are two separate children.  Johann is a patron saint name (as in Johann Baugratius) not a call name, unless the writer meant it to be Johannes.  This could be John Agner Jr.

Confirmed Good Friday and Communed the Following Sunday 1773 for the first time:  Henrich, son of Ludwig Eigender, at the Williams Twp. Congregation, Lehigh Valley.

1776 
Three of Ludwig's sons appear in militia companies in the Elizabeth Town District of Frederick County, MD (now Hagerstown, Washington Co, MD):  Benedict, Henry, and John.  It is assumed that Benedict and Henry died in the American Revolution, as we this is the last trace we have of them.  They are not mentioned in the 1791 deed concerning Ludwig's estate.

• Henry and David Agner were among those listed as Tories for failing to appear in court and take the Oath of Allegiance to the State of NC.  (Rowan Co, NC Court Minutes)
• 7 Aug:  John Agendir, Anthony Agender, and David Agender were Tories in Capt. Peter Little's District (Rowan Co, NC Court Minutes)

David Agner listed in the Rowan Co NC Court Minutes under Old Taxables.

David Eggender and Margaret Wise marry in Rowan Co, NC.

Within this period of time those holding property adjacent to the plantation of Henry Agender included Jacob Wervil, Anthony Salt, Jacob Frailey and the Dutch Meeting House (Pine Church) where Phillippina Eigernern and Daniel Little (Luttel) had taken their first communion.

20 January 1790 
Henry Agender wrote his will.  Sometime prior to this date his son John Agendar died leaving two daughters, Catherine and Mary.  Sons David and Henry also mentioned in will.

• Ludwig Aegender dies, probably during the winter of 1790/91.
• 13 Jun 1791:  At the Request of John Eagnor a deed was recorded concerning the estate of his father, Lodowick Eagoner, deceased.  It names, by relationship:  wife Christine, daughter Catherine (wife of Peter Holmes), son George, daughter Margaret (wife of Christian Piper), daughter Mary (wife of Christian Tomer / Domer).

1792
• Will of Henry Agender probated.
• The diary of Pastor Carl August Gottlieb Storch notes that he buried "Old Eiginer" on 17 December 1792.
