CLOE CULVERHOUSE. It has been estimated that Cloe was born about 1786-1789. One census indicated her place of birth as South Carolina, but to date I have found no other reference to any Culverhouse in South Carolina. Her father was William CULVERHOUSE, and her mother may have also been named Cloe. Cloe CULVERHOUSE married on 20 Jan 1807 in Fauquier County, Virginia to George TOLLE Jr. The bondsman was James CULVERHOUSE, and it is presumed that he was her brother. He stated that she was the daughter of deceased William CULVERHOUSE and was over the age of twenty-one.

About 1836 Cloe and George moved with their family to Marion County, Missouri where George died about Oct of 1839. Cloe was listed in the 1840 census of Marion County, Missouri but not found on the census for 1850. In 1860 she was living there with her youngest daughter, Vienna. No record of her death has been found.
