Lineage - The name of his father is not known. He was raised along with his two brothers in his grandfather's home under the Salts family name. Since we started researching Sarah's three children, each has been completely documented and their lineage is quite clear. This man was the grandson of Daniel and Rebecca Ball Salts, and the son of thier daughter, Sarah J. Salts.

1921, June 14th, Obituary - [a clipping that was found in Newton's family bible] - On this date, John Wesley and James Madison Salts were mentioned in the obituary of their brother, Newton A Salts. It said John was in Florida and James was in Kansas City, Missouri.

1945, February 23 - Death Certificate...On his death certificate it does not give his father or mother's name. The field for his father's name is recorded "unknown"
