I'm not really sure where I got the first date for his birth from, but I believe that it may have come from some of the on-line records for North Carolina birth and death records. The date I have picked up was listed as the 29th of August 1900. However, on his death certificate, it states that he was born on the 18th of November in 1899, so I've used that date.
He was a son of JAD. He was the Sheriff I think at Saluda for a while years ago. Later he was a house painter. He worked for Newell at Blue Star. He had a son Arthur that had one short leg. A house painter also . Arthur Jr had a son Arthur and another named Gary he may still be living.
