Most people with Mathews trees do not have a last name for that Isaac’s wife, however, this will offers acceptable proof to me that she was a Quarles. The will names Isaac Mathews and for this time period there was only one Isaac Mathews in the area: the Isaac who would move to Edgefield County
in the late 1780s.
