Blanche Burgner - LIMESTONE
Blanche Burgner, 88, formerly of the South Central Community, Chuckey, died Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

She had been a resident of John M. Reed Home for the past five months.

She was a native of Washington County and was the daughter of the late Sarah and E.D. Saults.

Mrs. Burgner was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.

Her family stated she was a homemaker, a loving mother, and a caregiver for several relatives.

Mrs. Burgner is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law: Peggy Burgner, of Chuckey, and Joyce and Jerry Laws, of Chuckey; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burgner was preceded in death by her husband: Charlie Buster Burgner; three brothers: Dewey Saults, Arnold Saults and Ray Saults; three sisters: Rosa Saults, Nellie Painter and Ora Sperrazza.

The funeral service for Mrs. Burgner will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 20, 2008, in the Chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Norton and the Rev. Howard Painter officiating.

Interment will be Monday, July 21, 2008, at 1:30 PM in the Liberty Free Will Baptist Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Michael Brown, Nicholas Brown, Rick Wisecarver, Drew Bailey, Frank Whitson and Brad Whitson.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Harlen Painter, Howard Bailey, Rick Holmes, Dennis and Nancy Kelsoe, Dr. Denise Sibley and the staff of John M. Reed Home.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 PM preceding the service at the chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the John M. Reed Home at 124 John M. Reed Road, Limestone, Tn. 37681.
