On the 1850 census there is an Elizabeth Ray age 8 and a Thomas Ray age 6 living with this family. But they are at the end of the family as if they are not children. They could belong to his brother, Benjamin, who is living next door with two more children aged Elizabeth Ray 10 and Benjamin Ray, Jr. 4
