ALBERTA JEAN DINGUS Alberta Jean Dingus, 81, of Richmond, MO died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at her home. Jean was born on November 19, 1930 in Green Ridge, MO to Louis Guy and Ardith Pauline (Brim) Ray. She married Robert H. Dingus of Pleasanton, KS on October 22, 1949; he survives of the home. Additional survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Lyle and Sandy Dingus of Philomont, VA and Jerry Dingus of Newport News, VA; three daughters and one son-in-law, Kathy Green of Garland, TX, Peggy and George Hack of Independence, MO and Judy Reynolds of Lutz, FL; 7 grandchildren, Jerry Dingus, Jr, Jamie Dingus, Kirby Reynolds, Riley Reynolds, Lori James, Jessica Roberts and her husband, Capt. Matthew Roberts and Kathleen McCune and her husband, Jonathan McCune; and four great-grandchildren, Tristan Pugh, Dane Blankenship, Adeline McCune and Lillian McCune.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by three sisters, Kathryn Bernard, Dorothy McCarty and Patsy Ray. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Crossroads Hospice or to the Shriners Hospital for Children or the donors choice. Jean spent 18 years in Greenridge and Windsor, MO, 9 years in Pleasanton and Mound City, KS and 54 years in Richmond, MO. Jean worked as a clerk at J.C. Pennys and Wal-Mart Pharmacy while in Richmond. She was a member of the United Christian Presbyterian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star in Richmond. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Christian Presbyterian Church in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
