Introduction
FINALLY - WE HAVE A SALTS / SOLTS DNA MATCH!
After years of dedicated research, and a recent dna match, the missing link between the Salts line of Washington County, Tennessee and the early German Solt settlers of Pennsylvania has been made. They are the same.
As a result of the new findings, we would like to ask for more Salts and Solt volunteers to join the research project. There is also a Salts line in the USA that is quite large and stems from a Thomas Salts. This line documents Thomas from Ireland. PLEASE join the research and establish your DNA trail.

When you visit the site above, the following blurb will be found with other information on how to take part. You can also contact the SALTS DNA project leader from there as well.
DNA Project Blurb..."Are you a Salts male? We need your help! Help determine if the various Salts family lines in the USA are related. Funding is available to help with the test costs for the first three participants. Contact the group administrator for more information. Your participation will help determine: 1. Do other Salts lines in the United States have a common ancestor with the Washington County, TN, Salts line? 2. Do the various descendants of the Washington County, TN, Salts families have a common ancestor?
Variations of the Salts name...
The following variations of the Salts family name have been found and are currently held in this data base - Salt, Salts, Saltz, Saltsz, Saulls, Sault, Saults, Saultz and Sults - and now, Solt, Sold, Solts, etc. We’ve only just begun.
Credit
I would like to thank my Saults uncles who started the research in 1960 at the death of their aunt, Lena Alice Saults Covey (my grandmother). I would also like to give credit to my distant Salts cousins that I met while researching. They are: Dixie Dillinger, Connie Gray, and John Victor “JV” and Joanne Chauvin. Without them, this website would not exist.
