Ruben came to Laclede Co., in 1896 at the age of 4, and spent his early life in Pine Creek area, with the exception of one year. Their first home was in Laclede Co., where they lived until after the birth of their first child, Carmie. In 1918, they bought a farm in Texas Co., where their other three children were born. They lived near Nebo, MO.825
