On the death certificate it said that Matthew died of Cerebral Meningitis and he died at 508 Harrison Street.1187 His doctor's name was C. O'Connor Harrison Street was a family home.

Also, he was originally buried in Mt St Mary's cemetery on the 14th of July in 1894, but later moved to Calvary Cemetery with the rest of his family on the 7th of July in 1939. It is not known why they were all moved.

(On the Internet I believe there is a misprint for the that Matthew was buried at the Mt. St Mary's Cemetery. It says he was buried on the 14th of October 1894 and I believe it should be th 14th of August. October is written in number as 9 and August as 7. I'm sure it is just an error in reading someone's handwriting.)
