2 February 2008 - From Layton Stout, who descends from Allen Salts’ line
- Allen Salts had two other children that you did not know about with Sarah Erwin. They are: George W. Salts born April 13,1868 died March 3,1950 and Julia Alexendra Salts born 1870 died July 12 1903. These two children were raised by the neighbors of Allen and Sarah Salts. They were James (Jim) and Rebecca Tesnear. The Washington and Greene County line went right thru the two neighbors land, this is probably why you did not find this information. Thats why the two children did not show up on the Washington County Census because they were in Greene County. George and Julia ended up adding the Tesnear name to theirs. George W. Salts Tesnear married Mary Ethel Whitaker. Their daughter was Fannie Louise Tesnear who had a daughter named Wanda Faye Tesnear who is my mother.

Other Confusion regarding the location of Allen Salts farm - From the records gathered so far, it is quite obvious that they lived on the county line between Greene and Washington counties.
