Died: 01-08-2005 Fannie Louise Nelson, 83, of Bailey Bridge Road, Limestone, died Saturday morning at Takoma Adventist Hospital. Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker and farmer. She retired from Durham-Hensley Nursing Home in Chuckey. Mrs. Nelson attended Washington College House of Prayer.
Survivors include her husband: James Nelson; four daughters and two sons-In-Law: Janie and Charles Allen Branson of Limestone, Wanda Faye Davis of Greeneville, Virginia Hearmaline and David Snapp of Mount Carmel, and Dorothy Mae Vorhees of Johnson City; her grandchildren and their spouses: Samuel Vorhees, Sarah Vorhees, Benjamin Vorhees, Mike and Carolyn Nelson; Rita and Robert Frazier, Tony and Jackie Nelson, Betty and Gary Waller, David Layton and Cindy Stout, David Dayton Stout, Robert Malaya and Lisa Wilson, Robert Fonda and Malissa "Sissy" Wilson, Rhonda Tipton, and Adam and Trena Tipton; 19 great-grandchildren, including a special great-grandson: Quintin Alexander; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Maxine Tesnear of California, and Eva and Paul Nelson of Jonesborough; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Major and Mae Tesnear of Kingsport and Willard "Boy" and Betty Tesnear of Greeneville; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Oscar Tipton Jr., Rebecca Hatley, and Michelle James.
She was a daughter of the late George and Ethel Tesnear and was preceded in death by her first husband: Earl Currier; a great-grandson; three sisters: Lula Lane, Clara Mae Morgan, and Nell Gregory; and a brother: Earl Tesnear.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser Funeral Home and other times at the home of Janie and Charles Branson in Limestone. The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o?clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Gale Flanery and the Rev. Michael Anglin will officiate. A committal service will be held at 11 o?clock Tuesday morning in Milburnton Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Pallbearers will be Adam Tipton, Fonda Wilson, Tony Nelson, Layton Stout, Dayton Stout, Malaya Wilson, and Jerome Bradley. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Branson, David Snapp, Michael Nelson, and Oscar Tipton Jr.
