Henrietta never married. At the time of her death, she lived with her brother Charles at 5127 Tracy Street in Kansas City.519

1968, September 20 - "Fire Fatal To 3 From Here, Kansas City Women Die in Colorado Lodge Blaze: Victims on Vacation: All were friends and more than 70 years old." [There is a long and extensive article on the front page of the Kansas City Times covering the death of Etta and her friends. It includes a photograph of the lodge where they were staying.]520

1968 Obituary - From the Knob Noster Item - “Mrs. Merle Matthews attended funeral services in Kansas City Monday morning, Sept. 23, 1968 for a cousin, Miss Henrietta Lynch. Services were conducted by Father Lynch (Rev. Matthew Robert Lynch, S.J.) Henrietta was his god mother. She was one of the victims of a fire that destroyed a resort at Allan’s Park, Colo., and in which two other Kansas City women died. She originally lived at 5127 Tracy."

Henrietta was buried from St. Francis Xavier. Her Mass was conducted by her nephew (Charle's son) Rev. Matthew Robert Lynch, S.J.. He was also her godson.
