Notes - Mary and her husband shared the exact same birthdays -same day, month and year. This fact was identified in the notes of Dan Saults and in her sister’s files at the Catholic Church.
40After the death of her parents - It was said that the family she stayed with lived somewhere between La Monte and Dresden, MO., but south over in Pettis County.
40When Mary was older she moved to Kansas City, MO to work at the laundries run by the Catholic Church. At some point she converted to Catholicism, met her husband and married.
40 Once she was married her sister Nettie came to live with them.
In the papers of her sister, Henrietta "Nettie", two children named Alice were identified. In the information gathered from all the censuses. In relation to her children, Mary gave the following information:
1900 - 9 children 7 living (identified as Alice Francis d. 1884, and Mathew d. 1894)
1910 - 9 children 6 living (identified as Alice Marie "Allie" d. 1904)

1857, October 10 - Born in Ireland. First language was Irish. Due to the time period and that his surname is Lynch, it is very possible that he was born in the West counties of Ireland like Galway or Mayo. But to date, I have found no document that identifies where his family was located.
1874 -1878 - Immigration and Naturalization notes - It’s a bit confusing when looking at the dates given on the 1900, 1910 and 1920 censuses, which have been given below.
Facts gathered:
1900 census says he “immigrated” from Ireland in of 1878 and that he had been a naturalized citizen in the US for 22 years
1910 census says he “immigrated” from Ireland in 1868
1920 census says he “immigrated” from Ireland in 1874 and was “naturalized” in 1878
Dates associated with Immigration
1856 - born in Ireland
1874 - 18 years old
1878 - 21 years old
1880 - 23 years old
1881 - Intention To Be Naturalized form completed
Looking at the dates, the overall thought is that he “may” have immigrated in to the US in the year of 1874 at age 16 and was naturalized in the year of 1878 at age 20. Records haven’t been found for him yet. I’m also convinced that the year of 1868 given in 1910 is probably an error and that it should be 1878.
1880 - On the 1880 census for the 2nd Ward, Walnut Street, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, Matthew Lynch is living in a household with the family of B. McConnell. McConnell is listed as a policeman. Matthew is listed as being born in Ireland in 1857 and a border and a laborer (Family History Library film 1254692, NA film # T9-0692, page # 201D).
1881, November 12 - Matthew Lynch completed an "Intention To Be Naturalized" form in Jackson County, Missouri on November 12, 1881. He was 22 years old at the time.

359Special Note - When I obtained the information from Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery for the Lynch family burials I found out that Matthew was never buried there. He was registered in their files as being buried there on the 14 of November 1922, but on the same day, his body was taken to the Calvary Cemetery, which is now part of the Forest Hill / Calvary Cemetery at 6901 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO. Also, after the names of his wife and daughter (Alice Marie) on the same print-out, it says that they were removed from Mt. St. Mary's on the 7th of July in 1939 and relocated to Calvary Cemetery. It didn't say anything about their children Alice Frances or Matthew. Their daughter, Sister Mary Inez (Margaret Ann) seems to be the only one of the children buried at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery. There were no indications that her body was removed and placed with the rest of the family.
350 On another source I found that Matthew and Alice Frances (their two children who died as infants) had also been moved to Calvary, but no dates were given as to when. So, it looks like someone came in and made the decision to relocate the entire family, which was conducted out on the 7th of July in 1939. Daughter Sister Mary Inez is the only one who is buried in the Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery.
Death Certificate - On his death certificate it says that his parents were Patrick Lynch and Alice Donnelly of Ireland.
