1870 - He is shown as head of the house. His mother is living with him after the death of her husband. She is now 68. There is also a Mary Jane Matthews living with him. She is 28 years old. There is also a Tom J. Looney listed as well who must be a nephew. He is 23 years-old. The Mary Jane could be his sister, but the dates don’t match up that well.
