It looks like there could easily have been another child who died as an infant. But nothing is known about him, other than the following memories handed down through the family.
From Carol Taylor - In the last two years of her grandmother’s life, she talked about a baby.
From Gene Cayton - He mentioned that at Salvania’s death in 1900, Sallie Earl took in her younger sister Maime and a baby boy. But he did not know if the baby was a child of A. R. and Salvania. However, he thought that Salvania died in child birth. He had never heard the story of her being killed when her team ran away with her buggy.
From Pauline Matthews Bishop - She also remembered a young baby being taken in by Sallie Earl, but the baby boy soon died and nothing else was ever said about it. However, she did not think it was a child of A. R. and Salvania.
From Kathy Seay Spires - When Sylvania died, Earl took Maime and an infant son to raise. The child died shortly after, possibly of a childhood illness. I don’t know his name.
