On Carl’s Naturalization Petiton, his step daughter Ida Saults was one of his witnesses. Mary Lowe was the other, but I do not know who she was or if she was connected to the Salts family in any way.

On the 1919 census there is a big mix up with the names. The scribe’s records are obviously wrong. Dorsey Ella Smith married twice. So the two boys listed in Carl’s household should be recorded as stepsons. Also, it says that Dorsey only had two children. This is wrong as well. Nina was married and lived to 1971. I have no idea what the s1 means.
