Notes for MINNIE LOUISE SALTS from Connie Gray:
She was called Louise. A older gentleman, who came to her funeral, said she was known as the prettiest girl in North Memphis. She was named after her father's sister Minnie.

(Louise hated the name Minnie and always told people her first name was Mildred. Louise's five younger brothers would call her Minnie Mouse.)

During WWII Louise Ivy worked for the defense depot building airplanes. After the war, she worked for many years at the Hotel Peabody in Memphis, TN. She first worked in the coffee shop and later was the bartender in the Creel Room. She retired in her early 60's and was independent and active until her sudden death in 1992 at the age of 80.

Louise Saltz Ivy, of Memphis, retired employee of The Peabody, died Thursady at Methodist Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial park. She was a member of Lewis Senior Center. Mrs. Ivy, the widow of M.C. Ivy, leaves three daughters, betty Bargiacchi Summers of Memphis, Patti Ivy Baggett of Bartlet, and Connie Ivy Gray of Columbia, S.C.; three sisters, Mary Nell Jensen, Blanche Saliba and Dorothy Raburn, all of Memphis; four brothers, Gene Salts of Booneville, Miss., and William B. Saltz, C.A. Saltz and Joe Saltz, all of Memphis, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Arlington Development Center.461
