Mildred Ione Saltz, 88, of Memphis, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. She was a member of the Humes 39er's. She was preceded in death by her husband, Conley Andrew Saltz. She leaves her daughters, Gale Williams, Karen Ederer, Andrea Mount; a son, David Saltz; four grandchildren, Anita Carlisle, Melisa Sebring, Andy Ederer, Daniel Ederer; and one great-grandson, Carlisle Jasper. Funeral services were held privately. The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Susan G. Koman Foundation. He was called Andy. He owned his own radio and television repair shop for many years. He then went to work for Holiday Inn and was over the television installations on new construction. He often traveled while in this position.

CONLEY ANDREW SALTZ, 75, of Memphis, retired director of engineering for Holiday Inn, died of complications from a stroke Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with entombment in Memorial Park Mausoleum. He was a past president of the Memphis Old Time Car Club, a World War II Air Force veteran and a ham radio operator. Mr. Saltz, the husband of Ione W. Saltz, also leaves three daughters, Gale Williams of Atoka, Tenn ., Karen Ederer of Doniphan, Mo., and Andrea Mount of Tucson, Ariz.; a son, David E. Saltz, and two sisters, Blanche Saliba and Dorothy Rayburn, all of Memphis; three brothers, E. E. Saltz of Booneville, Miss., and W. B. Saltz and Joe Saltz, both of Memp his, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Independent Presbyterian Church Building Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice. (Published in The Commercial Appeal 8/28/1995)
