Notes for Hester SALTS
Regarding Hester’s father - Clues and Dickenson links

1.
On her son’s social security applications form, her name was given as Hester (ne) Dickenson.
2. On the death certificate of Julia Salts Reed, it says her mother was Rebecca Dickenson
3. Vicki Tesnear spoke with Hester’s son-in-law Ron Ricker. He said that Hester was always referred to as Hester Salts [eMail dated 29 April 2012].
4. It is known that Julia Salts stepmother was Rebecca McMackin Tesnear, but there are many connections between the Tesnear and Dickenson families. To date, quite a few cross marriages have been found between the two families.
5. We know that Hester’s Salts lineage was, Hester, Julia Salts [birth mother], Allen and Sarah Erwin Salts [birth parents]. But we’re not 100% sure who Hester’s father was.

1942, April 6th - Application for Social Security Number
- On Charlie’s application form he gave his father’s name as Perry Ausborne Bales and his mother as Hester (ne) Dickerson. So this has confused things even more. However, I did find that “ne” means, “name given at birth,” which would indicate that Hester’s father could have been a Dickenson.1167

1944, January 21st -
On her daughter Julie’s application for her social security number, she stated that her mother’s name was Hester Salts.1168
