FALL BRANCH - Irene Bales Miller Hunt, 86, of Fall Branch, died Friday at SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation - Hillside.
Born in Greene County, she lived in Kingsport for a number of years and for the last several years, she had resided in Fall Branch.
Mrs. Hunt formerly worked at the Del Mar Restaurant and retired from Modern Bakery.
She was the widow of Paul Miller and Junior Hunt.
Surviving are her daughter: Ann Shelton of Hammond, Ind.; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Don and Carol Miller of Bourbonnais, Ill., and Dennis P. Miller of Kingsport; three grandsons: Anthony P. Miller, Bobby P. Shelton, and Terry L. Shelton; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mae Smith of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Perry and Hester Bales; a grandson: Jonathan Lee Miller; five sisters: Pauline Cross, Fannie Collier, Grace Crane, Nana Ricker, and Julie Willis; and a brother: Charlie Bales.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall
Branch Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning in Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Grandsons, great-grandsons, and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
