1909 - Obituary - (dated Dec 17, 1909) - At his home 1 mile north of town on Dec.12 Christopher C Hall yielded to the summons of the Pale Reaper and passed over the silent river into the great beyond. Mr Hall was born in Mercer County, Ky in 1838. He came to Missouri in 1869, where he lived until the time of his death. He was married in 1870 to Victoria Dawson. 7 [actually 8] children were born to the union; 3 0f whom survive , Mrs C.T. Kiblinger of Sedalia, and C.C. and C.V. Hall of Colorado. His wife died in Jan. 1886 and in Oct. 1887 he was married to Mary E Dawson. 7 children were born to this union. His wife and 4 children survive him, Henry, Lela, Pauline and Frank. He was by trade a bricklayer and plasterer and a splendid workman, conscientious and honest in this as in all his dealings. The funeral was held at the home by Elder Stark. He was a good citizen and neighbor and will be missed by all the community.702
