Information (2004) from grandson Eddie Saltz, his father was Emory:
Joe Saltz had two big farms about 3 miles outside of Abingdon, VA. He was a "saw mill man" and cut the virgin timber from the farms and made a fortune. One farm has a family graveyard on it, but most of the graves are not marked.

He was a farmer and self employed at same address. He gave his wife's name as next of kin, Melissa Salts. He was medium height with a slender build, brown eyes and hair.
