Joe Saltz had two big farms about 3 miles outside of Abingdon, VA. He was a "saw mill man" and cut the virgin timber from the farms and made a fortune. One farm has a family graveyard on it, but most of the graves are not marked.

1147He regustered under the name of Joseph Weldon Salts giving his address as RFD Abingdon, Washington County, Virginia. He was 40 years old and was born on the 21st of January in 1878. He was a farmer and self employed at same address. He gave his wife's name as next of kin, Melissa Salts. He was medium height with a slender build, brown eyes and hair.
